Street Smarts

Some people have it and some people don’t. It’s a sad yet true fact of nature that some will survive and others won’t, but living in the new age that has translated to some people will get ripped off more than others. Let’s face it, everyone gets ripped off some time in their life, but people without street smarts are the ones that will be ripped off over and over again.

They are also definitely the reason why scammers will always have a source of income. People are too trusting and will just go with anything they hear. For instance, if you get an email saying one of your native cousins from India died and has left millions of pounds to you, all you need to do is send your bank details, you are probably being scammed.

There are a few easy ways to see this, if you answer no to any of these questions you are probably being taken for a ride on the scam express. Firstly you should ask yourself “do I have any family in India?”, Secondly “If millions of dollars where left to me why didn’t they come and see me in person?” and lastly “How did my long lost cousin King Mukbharanasha know that I was”

You see it doesn’t take very much common sense to figure out that this is a scam, and if you just used your brain once in a while you would find that the world is a very dodgy place, and that a little bit of extra paranoia can go a very long way to keeping your cash, and not having to change your banking details. As they always say “If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!”

Keep this in mind next time you get an anonymous email stating you won money or a link on a website that says you are the 10,000th visitor, it’s not real! Its the scammers and they make a living out of stupid people that fall for their mindless tricks.

Just stop it already. Make life easier for us all and stop curbing your curiosity!
